With a record-breaking 15,ooo participants, raising a record $1.7 million, surpassing the 2008 Race for the Cure record, team lil’ ol’ me was proud to be there to join in the fun and raise awareness for early detection! This is an important cause for our team as we have lost family members due to this type of cancer.
We trained for over a month to get ready for this 5k run! It was a sunny, beautiful day! I for one was not ready for all the hills of Midtown but we pushed through and finished with excitement and a huge sense of pride and accomplishment. Well done team lil’ ol’ me!
